Gua Sha (刮痧), literally "scraping" of "diseases due to stagnant energy", is an ancient medical treatment still practiced in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It is also used by the Chinese as a folk therapy, as a preventive or curative treatment.
When you give yourself a gua sha massage, you're essentially scraping all the water and lymphatic fluid under your skin toward the edges of your face, pulling it toward your neck to drain it. In addition, it sets the blood under your skin in motion, so that after a gua sha session you will emerge with wonderfully full and firm skin full of new blood.

Skin type : Oily skin, Combination skin, Normal skin, Dry skin, SOS Anti-wrinkles
It is easiest to get started with your gua sha tool after applying your care products. This way the gua sha will glide more easily over your skin.
Every gua sha tool is a different shape, so the bottom line is to find an edge that works best for the different contours of your face.
Because the gua sha wants to push the toxins out of your face, it is important to first clear the lymphatic channels that run along your throat. Therefore, first run the tool over your neck about ten times.
Then work from the bottom of your face upwards. First scrape from under your ear along the jawline towards your chin. Gradually work your way up until you have scraped your entire face.
You can press firmly on your gua sha stone, although you don't want to bruise yourself. It is completely normal that your face looks a bit red after use, as you stimulate blood flow.
