- The skin is the largest organ in your body . It protects you but also absorbs everything that is applied to it. There are no transdermal filters and everything you put on your skin ends up in your bloodstream. It's a both and and story: for years on end you've been putting junk on your skin that can cause damage in the long term.
- We are constantly exposed to chemicals and influences . The polluted air we breathe, the pesticides and genetically modified foods we eat, the synthetic clothing we wear, the Teflon pans and plastic containers we cook with, and last but not least the skin care products we apply. This ubiquitous cocktail can be harmful in the long term (due to its persistence and the bioaccumulation of the chemicals) and there are suspicions that it can trigger allergies and irritations, stimulate Alzheimer's disease or even trigger cancer... A risk that we personally do not want to take . Better safe than sorry.

The world of Fashion & Beauty holds no secrets for Anne Poelmans . She was the head stylist of ELLE Belgium for eight years, ran the ELLE Belgium website for three years and worked for Vogue . Based on her passion for beauty, she took over the well-known webshop www.biotylab.com in early January 2018, where she sells her favorite organic beauty products.
